American Freedom Alliance mourns the sudden passing of its founder and president, Avi Davis.
He was a great friend, a truly fine man, and an intellectual powerhouse whose sudden loss we all feel acutely.
Avi and this organization have been a tremendous force for freedom, and the Board of Directors of AFA has been meeting to ensure that this important work continues.  We are committed to the mission, and to honoring Avi.
Recently, Avi had written this:
Happiness comes in life not by wanting but by giving; and then, of course, by expressing gratitude and humility for whatever small portion of good luck we are privileged to enjoy as a result. To BE happy, in the end, is to be grateful - thankful for our extraordinary good fortune to be alive.
If this is the case, and we believe it to be, Avi Davis must truly have been one of the happiest of men, and we are grateful to have known him.
Roger Simon of PJMedia wrote this moving tribute, and this In Memoriam piece was written by Adelle Nazarian from Breitbart.com.

About the Book Persecuted: The Global Assault on Christians:
Persecuted is a large, collective documentation of Christian persecution stories from around the globe. The book speaks of the reality and cost of being a Christian, but also the terrible injustice that has “mysteriously” befallen this group. This book really brings much needed awareness of the reality of Christian persecution, insults, deaths, and sufferings that occur daily around the world (from the Middle East to Asia), and calls on sympathizers to stand up and come to the aid of Christian victims.

About the Book Saturday People, Sunday People: Israel through the Eyes of a Christian Sojourner:
Saturday People, Sunday People is a unique portrait of Israel as seen through the eyes of a Christian who came for a visit and has stayed on for more than six years. Long fascinated by a land that has become an abstraction centering on international conflicts of epic proportions, Lela Gilbert arrived in Israel on a personal pilgrimage in August 2006—in the midst of a raging war. What she found was a vibrant country, enlivened by warm-hearted, lively people of great intelligence and decency.
