About the Darwin Debates: A Forum for Dialogue

On the 150th anniversary of the publication of Charles Darwin’s seminal work, The Origin of Species, the American Freedom Alliance is pleased to present a series of events in Los Angeles devoted to an examination of issues surrounding the debate on the origins of life.

The question of life’s origins may seem an issue relevant primarily to scientists. But the answers to the inquiries about the beginnings of life on earth have far reaching political, social, cultural and psychological implications for humanity. This important series of film screenings, debates, interviews and book readings, will present an opportunity to examine these issues in a fair and balanced way, offering compelling arguments and insights from both sides of the divide between evolutionary theory and intelligent design.

All residents of Southern Calfornia, regardless of political persuasion, religious beliefs, philosophical stance or scientific conviction, are invited to join us in these vital discussions on who we are and where we came from.
